Artist Statement - Margaret Girle

I believe artwork has an energy of its own, giving the viewer a piece of truth, a piece of reality, a glimpse into another world. The artist is purely an instrument through which the creative or life force flows.

It is in this surrender to the life force, just being and painting from the heart, that truth is captured. It is in this creating that the artist seemingly taps into another dimension, aware only of the moment, of the passion of creating. The journey rather than the result is all important, but it is from the resulting artwork that the viewer will receive the healing, loving energy which has “come through” during the process.

My intention is that others may reach their higher self through viewing images I have portrayed, just as I have while creating it. In art everything is possible, and its this possibility that I wish viewers to realize for themselves in their daily lives.

Dolphins at play in the ocean is an image of beautiful relationship, loving togetherness, just as the images of couples dancing in unison. Natural forms, animals, wildlife are images of our healed planet, resplendent in its natural beauty.

Angel images represent the human race at its highest potential. They represent the realization of our divinity.

Just as our universe is constantly changing and evolving, so too are we and all that we create.

Creativity is the art of expressing the soul!
