About Life's Tapestry

Creativity is the art of expression'. Margaret's first major exhibition is the story of her personal and spiritual journey into that creative expression.

Featuring approximately 30 works, some 1 metre square, this vibrant exhibition portrays the journey of life, decisions, love, courage, personal growth and living your dreams. Each large painting was accompanied by two smaller ‘companion’ paintings on the same theme and each set had poetry or prose written for it. The theme running through this exhibition, and also evident in the colourful works, is the diversity and ever changing beauty and sadness in life.

Everything in the universe is evolving, changing, flowing and expanding. The message throughout this exhibition is that creativity, a right brain modality, comes through us without our control, and it’s the releasing, letting go, surrender and flow which entails a journey in awareness, and present moment living - an art form within itself.

From the war-time tryptich of her parents in ‘Their Love – a Love That Endured’, to the painting of children playing, in ‘Cherubs at Play”, and “Music 1 and ll – music flows easily from young hearts', to some of the final pieces including 'Releasing The Bird – setting her heart free', and ‘Firehorse – burning a fiery path to your dreams'… Life's Tapestry is a wonderful diverse mix of subject matter, all featured under the one theme of the beauty and mystery of life, the evolutionary struggle for self expression!
